Being Tourist in Jakarta for a day!! 3 May 2008

Started our day in Monas after lunch at Nancy's, we then went to Kota (standard showing around jakarta)

Thinking of taking traveller the traditional pasar malam in jakarta with the kinda DUfan play but its such in a random place.

Anyway, we had our dinner in Blok S then had some beer and bit of dance after little break.

Had a stomache prob and masuk angin (in wind haha) but was really FUN, got bday to celebrate, had arisan signing ceremony.. woehooeee visit asia 2009!! :P Banana boat was awesome.. Good food thanks to Yunie, mom MG also Nonesee…

Meeting new people was also unforgettable..

Through all the surprize party, crazy banana boat, modelling on the beach, lunch by the sea, "sedang apa" games, getting more and more tanned skin, without brake comby, stopping in a nowhere area, etc, etc and again etc......

Thank God everybody is ok, the fun was worth to some scratches...
Just called Gun and he confirmed: all valuable things; bags and wallet, laptop, camera... are safe
And received new SMS from Melvy she was...asking for dance party tonite! told her: shes nuts!, but she said, need the dance, drink and drunk to get over the sore pain...

Sorry Nance, the true is. Between Anyer to serang. When we riding via the shortcut road. And the accident, because melvine to much singing along the trip, and goen became not focus for his drive.. Hehehe..
But After, we arrived in serang. We were laughing when we talked about that experience.. Because, I don't know if they got accident. I just know, when i'm waiting 500 meter from the place. Someone was yelling at me and they said, " Mas, your friend just fall down...". If The man not yelling at me. So i wouldn't know if they got accident..
And After took a rest in Serang, we continue our trip to jakarta ( And Melvine still singing since serang till Tangerang.. HEhehehe )
All of the belongings and the bike are still safe, they only have scratch in their hand and leg. So thanks for your concern Nance..

BFC gone now :( Im soo lost without this place!!!!!!!!!!!

I love this place, perfect place, outdoor, close to my home, cheap beer!! Except its in jaksa, well I don’t care but most of the time when I say to new people I hang around in jaksa oooooohhh jaksa or ooohh ur jaksa girl, WHATEVA, I still love BFC BUT WWWHHYYYYYY???????? Where do I go now, yes we have Birdie now BUT BUT AAaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh

Last CS Gathering 10 Feb we found out that this place gonna be closed that weekend :( Last serving day was on 15 Feb 08 on my 30th bday when I already planned to go to Bali. Was not able to be there at the last day too bad, soooo gathered everyone I know the nite before we went to Bali. Invited everyone whom been there with me (except 1 off course :P kkikikkukukekkeekkokokokokakaka :P)

Bro, sis, our soulmate, we missed eka who was still in Holland, highschool friend, bro’s friend, friend from Thousand island trip and friends from CS-HC, 1 adorable colleague finnaly.. drag her to Jaksa for first time :P Had our last drinks in this place :(

Was fun nite though we know this place gonna be closed, had some laugh (laughing at me :P) lol check mate from almost everybody… :’( :P

OOT: Funny things to walk around with bule

Last week, showed my guest from CS around Jakarta. Took him to Monas and Kota (andalan, no idea where else)

Sssoo in busway 1 lady wanted to know what we were talking about asked me where he’s from his name, bla bla bla and at the end she asked, ur his gf? NNooo, I said,  “ooh his wife???” she said Hahhahah

Was not the first time this happens, in bali took a motor bike to nusa dua, the security stopped us check id and asked pacar?? (boyfriend??) Hahahhahaha

Then in Jaksa Sunday afternoon, we tried to lonely planet Australia book in the bookstore there. While walking bunch of high school students came to me, and asked if they can interview CS guest for a school assignment, I said, asked him then, not me…. :) I said to him that he’s gonna have that kinda interview thingy again in Jogja especially in Borobudur.

Then, another funny thing was walking in the side walk,  then 1 couple from Dubai asked us where money changer is, showed him where and he asked me, “ur Indonesian?” yeah, i answered. Then he asked my CS guest  “where ur from”, “Holland” he said. And with happy face the dubai guy said “aaahhh Europe!! Im from Dubai. Nice meeting you!!!” and said nothing to me… aarrgggghhhhh… and kept talking to him like I was not there…. Hahahhahah yeah im local, what are u afraid of?? What did u hear about local here??? LOL that was annoying.

The worst was years ago, was walking in the nite near our president palace near monas, “hey girl bule bf?? Big *** ha???” and that annoying sentence came out from a mouth of PM (militer police) who guards our president palace in Jakarta.

HC - CS Gathering - 10 Jan 08

Was a fun day, met lots of new people, new friendly people.
Was hosting Polish couple who is on honeymoon around the world for 6months...
Really nice couple... was such a pleasure to host them and such a pleasure to meet other HC-CS member in jakarta such a fun people, we had lots of laugh sharing their traveling experience, culture differences, also sharing about to host and to be hosted (to be guest). Met local people, met them for dinner, drinks or having them showing around their city.
HC-CS friends in Jakarta thanks for arranging that extremely delightful meeting!!! Hahahhaha delightful is so my fave word now LOL

Second time hosting from HC people and 1 time hosted by HC people. Been hosted also by Australian fam during working as tour leader last Jul and Dec. Don’t host too much for I prefer to host during weekend. Mostly only met them for dinner or some drinks or showing around Jakarta or help them to book hotel or transportation from airport to the city (especially in the nite for no damri bus to avoid hassle at the airport, just to make not too bad experience for the first time arriving in our country) :P:) .

Met some HC member in Bandung when I went there Dec 06 and met 1 Indonesian girl just graduated from university then traveling around Europe 13 countries for few months and enjoyed meeting new friendly people and being hosted from HC.

How do I know this??
One nite in 2005 me and my friends met 1 Ducth and 1 Austrian at BFC and he told us about HC and told me his traveling stories for more than 6months. I remember 1 comment from my first time I join HC and ask people to join, 1 of my friend said “invite stranger to ur home? Good idea?” something like that. Honestly, kinda scared me also when he said that…But at the end it was mostly nice new experience... :)

Don’t travel too much so when I met them and listen to their traveling stories, made me feels like travelin without moving, without air ticket, without visa but as well makes u wanna travel more and see more. Like, before the only asia country I always wanted to go is Thailand for the beautiful beaches then i heard from them about Phillipines and saw their pics there woooowww, cant stop thinking about going there now..

But hey first… VISIT INDONESIA 2008!!!!!!!! ;)
We have such a beautiful country to explore……
