Being Tourist in Jakarta for a day!! 3 May 2008

Started our day in Monas after lunch at Nancy's, we then went to Kota (standard showing around jakarta)

Thinking of taking traveller the traditional pasar malam in jakarta with the kinda DUfan play but its such in a random place.

Anyway, we had our dinner in Blok S then had some beer and bit of dance after little break.

Last Nite, Last time @ BFC 13 Feb 08 :(

BFC gone now :( Im soo lost without this place!!!!!!!!!!!

I love this place, perfect place, outdoor, close to my home, cheap beer!! Except its in jaksa, well I don’t care but most of the time when I say to new people I hang around in jaksa oooooohhh jaksa or ooohh ur jaksa girl, WHATEVA, I still love BFC BUT WWWHHYYYYYY???????? Where do I go now, yes we have Birdie now BUT BUT AAaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh

Last CS Gathering 10 Feb we found out that this place gonna be closed that weekend :( Last serving day was on 15 Feb 08 on my 30th bday when I already planned to go to Bali. Was not able to be there at the last day too bad, soooo gathered everyone I know the nite before we went to Bali. Invited everyone whom been there with me (except 1 off course :P kkikikkukukekkeekkokokokokakaka :P)

Bro, sis, our soulmate, we missed eka who was still in Holland, highschool friend, bro’s friend, friend from Thousand island trip and friends from CS-HC, 1 adorable colleague finnaly.. drag her to Jaksa for first time :P Had our last drinks in this place :(

Was fun nite though we know this place gonna be closed, had some laugh (laughing at me :P) lol check mate from almost everybody… :’( :P

Was great nite guyz…

HC - CS Gathering - 10 Jan 08

Was a fun day, met lots of new people, new friendly people.
Was hosting Polish couple who is on honeymoon around the world for 6months...
Really nice couple... was such a pleasure to host them and such a pleasure to meet other HC-CS member in jakarta such a fun people, we had lots of laugh sharing their traveling experience, culture differences, also sharing about to host and to be hosted (to be guest). Met local people, met them for dinner, drinks or having them showing around their city.
HC-CS friends in Jakarta thanks for arranging that extremely delightful meeting!!! Hahahhaha delightful is so my fave word now LOL

Second time hosting from HC people and 1 time hosted by HC people. Been hosted also by Australian fam during working as tour leader last Jul and Dec. Don’t host too much for I prefer to host during weekend. Mostly only met them for dinner or some drinks or showing around Jakarta or help them to book hotel or transportation from airport to the city (especially in the nite for no damri bus to avoid hassle at the airport, just to make not too bad experience for the first time arriving in our country) :P:) .

Met some HC member in Bandung when I went there Dec 06 and met 1 Indonesian girl just graduated from university then traveling around Europe 13 countries for few months and enjoyed meeting new friendly people and being hosted from HC.

How do I know this??
One nite in 2005 me and my friends met 1 Ducth and 1 Austrian at BFC and he told us about HC and told me his traveling stories for more than 6months. I remember 1 comment from my first time I join HC and ask people to join, 1 of my friend said “invite stranger to ur home? Good idea?” something like that. Honestly, kinda scared me also when he said that…But at the end it was mostly nice new experience... :)

Don’t travel too much so when I met them and listen to their traveling stories, made me feels like travelin without moving, without air ticket, without visa but as well makes u wanna travel more and see more. Like, before the only asia country I always wanted to go is Thailand for the beautiful beaches then i heard from them about Phillipines and saw their pics there woooowww, cant stop thinking about going there now..

But hey first… VISIT INDONESIA 2008!!!!!!!! ;)
We have such a beautiful country to explore……

Aline's Last Nite in Jakarta - 5 Dec 2007

Hi... nice meeting you.. hang out, going around... 1 year later... bye, c ya!!!! Hi nice meeting you, hang out, traveling.. 3months later... bye, c ya!! 1 year, 3 months sometimes few weeks.. people come and go...

Stian, Kasia, Rainer last year and this year just last week time to say bye to Aline...
Cross my finger, we'll see ya all somewhere, somehow, someway, sometimes...

Great time with them all, nice meeting new friends color your life :)

Long Weekend 31May - 3Jun 2007

Text a friend of mine saying that its long weekend and i have no plan at all, and the next morning got reply what did u end up doing? bfc? He's so damn right :P hahahahha not only Thursday nite actually hahaha.

Spent most of the weekend with Eka, on thursday nite Tiara joined had some drinks and talks then playing pool after, and had Eka keep saying that im hitam the whole nite!!!

Friday, woke up the latest after Eka and Tiara (as usual :P) spent the whole afternoon in my room was just being lazy i guess...Went to Pasar baru with Eka and Tiara bought eeeuuuhhhhh kain utk kebaya then yeah again BFC hahahah Erna, Agus and Widie joined.

Saturday.....
Went to Cemara gallery first, wanted to eat saksang at lapo in Sabang after with Eka, Asa and Sulis but it was closed so... heueheueuehue

Sunday was just being lazy and chilling at home and had 1friend from Bandung together with his 2 friends stayed in my house for a nite.

OOT: Always surprising Jakarta

Talked on MSN with K while ago, she was saying how she misses Jakarta, theres always something surprising you. Kinda true but i never thought of that cuz i've been living in jakarta since i was born, the surprises sometimes didnt make me surprised anymore maybe?

Maybe most of the surprises are things which are not going right/normal, like today, first time i took the new line of busway Kp. Rambutan - Ancol.

First surprise, its only paper ticket.
Second, there are 3 doors on the bus stop box :P, 2 for entering the bus and 1 for going out from the bus (you can see the arrow sign on the floor). We waited for the bus while talking and eating rujak :P in front of the middle door, the first bus stopped but it was too full, then second bus stopped BUT NOT in front of the door where we were, it stopped in front of the next door (left side) for people exit from the bus???? Well ok, the bus was too full anyway.
Ok, here we go.. the third bus, where it stopped???? Also in front of the next door, this time the next door on our right side. While laughing and waiting for the next bus, we moved to the next door in our right, im sure you know where the bus stopped??? hahahahaha yeah.. the next door where we were before hahahaha DOEH!!!

Really nice acomodation too but they only have 3 rooms, need some luck sometimes to get a room here. Not expensive room compare to other accomodation and really nice place. Rp. 200.000 per nite including breakfast or Rp. 225.000 for 2 persons. Air con room with shower
