Being Tourist in Jakarta for a day!! 3 May 2008

Started our day in Monas after lunch at Nancy's, we then went to Kota (standard showing around jakarta)

Thinking of taking traveller the traditional pasar malam in jakarta with the kinda DUfan play but its such in a random place.

Anyway, we had our dinner in Blok S then had some beer and bit of dance after little break.

Part 3 - Short getaway Pelabuhan Ratu 7 – 8 March 08 Beach hoping biatches :P lol

Woke up pretty early for Saturday (7.30) for we had some beaches to go!! :D Had some coffe, chit chat with or neighbours next to our room, refresh then ready for beaches.. woooeeehoooeee..

1. Cimaja
Only 5minutes walk from Pondok Kencana walked through the Didesa resort to go there. 2minutes away from this beach could hear the wave, and sounds like big wave.. boem boem.. OK, definitely NOT for swimming :) only for surfing there

2. Cibangban Beach
Then we continued to Cibangban beach, in front of the Kuda Laut resort. We went there by Fida’s car. It was 30minutes from Cimaja Beach. If you wanna go there, take angkot to cisolok then continued with Ojek (motor bike I think around Rp 10.000 from Cisolok)
Had a swim finally and body board for a while then just being lazy laying down by the beach. Had a shower and ready to go back to Jakarta for me and Tiara and to SUkabumi for the others.

3. Kebon Kelapa Beach
Stopped by the Kebon Kelapa Beach, near Karang Hawu (around 15 minutes from Cimaja, u can take angkot to go there)
Had our lunch there… hhmm lekker oncom!! :)

Sigh.. time to go home… had a gathering to go at Birdie… we are dropped at Cikembang bus station, took the same bus we took to Bogor, then we had toge goreng near the Bus station before we continued going by bus to Lebak bulus stopped at Cilandak then continue with angkot to Birdie (thanks to Fida for suggesting this way, fast way!!!)

Part 1 - Short getaway Pelabuhan Ratu 7 – 8 March 08

Thanks to Fida who gave the idea, and finally she stayed in Pelabuhan Ratu also waiting for me and Tiara who got there around 8pm, planned to go in Friday the morning but Thursday nite was stucked at Birdie till 2am and got home 3am after miskun.
SO, woke up pretty late Friday, called Tiara to ask if we’re still goin, yyyeeee whhyy noot??

Getting there

Jakarta - Bogor : Pakuan Express Train from Gambir Station Rp. 13.000 (almost every hour from 7 am to 6pm

Bogor station - bus terminal : Minibus (angkot) No. 03 Rp. 2000

Bogor - Pelabuhan Ratu : MGI Small bus AC Rp. 20.000 (morning - 6p)

Then Fida together with Yola, Eko and Nton picked us up near the Pl. Ratu bus terminal
Had dinner at MIrah Sari Restaurant then we drove around to find place to stay. First we stopped at Didesa Resort, ended up only seeing the beautiful room there, couldn’t afford it, the room rate was Rp. 430.000 for the deluxe room and Rp. 545.000 for the suite room. (sigh).

Soooo we went to the place across the didesa resort, Pondok Kencana (stayed there before in 2002), looked around all kind rooms they have there, , then we (heheheh me wanting to stay there) decided to stay there for a nite in 2 rooms in 1 villa for Rp. 105.000 per room / nite, had 2 rooms 1 extrabed.

Bali Part 3 – Last 2 days… 

17 Feb
Again, woke up late but again not too late for breakfast, Erna went shopping already. Went to rent bicycle for going to Seminyak, wanted to buy the batik belt and Kudeta. Sooo biking the shocking pink mini bike hahahahhaa to Seminyak after 1 beer break in seminyak but the shop was closed on Sunday  so continued to Kudeta, Oberoi Seminyak, some shopping stops for Erna :P
Kudeta nice place for Sunset, but too exclusive and didn’t feel homey there but it was nice to go there.

Went back to the hotel on the way back riding the bicycle suddenly BOOOMMMM… looked back to Erna hey what the hell was that??? Still riding my bike after few seconds I realized it was my bike’s tire!!! Hahahhahaha flat tire… wooowww and we were still far away… Oepssss…. Damn, again I feel overweight LOL last time went to bali also had a flat tire with motorbike  :’( arrgggghhh

Sooooo walked more than 1 hr with the bike went back to poppies.. straight to the Kubuku for beer o’clock. Erna finally drink some long island!! Hahahahaha. Freshen up, had shower then had dinner 3 of us + Anders, nice food!! Went to Kubuku AGAIN.. This is lollipop nite.. LOL hahahhaha

18 Feb

Our last day in Bali.. before going back to work the next day  Had our last breakfast in Kedin’s the packing and went to Nusa Dua with Iin and Patrick… Went to see the water blow spot… beautiful spot to see the power of water… as Aquarians… :P Strong wave hitting the big coral cliff.. beautiful.. I’ll upload the video soon hopefully…
Sitting down by the Nusa beach.. Reminiscing beautiful moments I had there b4 ;) Beautiful and quiet beach also… watch some surfing with the barrel?? Surfing, beautiful and dangerous sport, beautiful bodies ahhahahah dangerously cool.. LOL Anyway.. almost the end of our trip… 

Went back to Patrick’s place for shower and had sundanese dinner near the airport and finally time to say goodbye to Bali and also to Iin and Patrick who took us to the airport… !! :(

Bali Part 2 – Serangan Beach

16 Feb
Woke up early but as usual im the last one to wake up, Tiara already rent a car, I only woke up and ready to drive… hahahha
Went to Serangan Beach, first time Patrick said Serangan it sounds like serangin for me.. hahahaha Beautiful beach there.. its surfing spot. We were guided by Australian, we local guided by foreigner to find beautiful beach in our country… Had a jaffle for breakfast at the warung there then had some sun bathing, 1 hour and we were almost more than well done, almost crispy, it was pretty hot there…

Tried to paddle on the surf board :D:D:D:D yeeee finally!! Only paddling I know but finally im on the surf board. Hahhahaha. Patrick watch me paddling and called me to go back when im bit too far, he might be more worried about his surf board than me :P hahahah naaahhh .

Starbucks Kuta after Serangan beach then continued shopping in seminyak near double six.

Anyway… went back to hotel, took a shower and get ready for dinner and meet up with CS member we met at the last gathering, family from Belgium, traveling with 11 months son who are soo adorable. Had dinner at Kubuku with them and Anders then we continued to Sky Garden yee.. AGAIN!!! :P Dunno why I didn’t take picture at Kubuku also last time I went to Bali. This is the baby sitting nite :P hahahhaha baby sitting my soulmate, while another soulmate missing hahahhaha

Bali Part 1 – Becoming 30 in Bali

Funny start for this trip.
Soo checked in airasia counter, went to the gate A4! I said I thought I saw A7 gate in the airasia check in counter, but no…. the gate info screen near the gate written A4.
Ok… So went to A4 gate. Waiting there, 3 of us eating 1 litter of ice cream on the valentines’s day 3 singles ladies eating ice cream, making our heart even colder and freezed LOL.
Well anyway, after a while waiting we heard the announcement, Lion air is delay blablabla.. HHmmm lion air?? Our flight was air asia sooo.. wrong gate… then we asked the gate, then he said lemme see the boarding pass?? Oeps its A7!!!! I was right!! Thats me.. when im right nobody believe me :(:P
Run!!! Its 20.15 already, our flight schedule is 20.15!!!!! hahahhaha I would have cried if we miss the flight. Running running running… the A7 gate looked quiet  oeps but phhheewwww its delayed…
Have a rest, continued finishing our ice cream hahhahaha. Then announcement, passenger please get ready to board. Everybody stands up and make line behind the door, next 5 minutes another announcement, “due to blablabla.. please board at A3 gate” wwwwwwwwwhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaatttttttttt???? Hahahhahahah that’s our story with airasia hahahahha

Anyway.. safely arrive in Bali pass 23.00hrs, went to the Kedin’s Hotel, (link) nice hotel with nice small swimming pool for Rp. 110.000 per nite including breakfast (fan only... no air con, who needs air con? :P wont be sweating sleeping with my 2 soulmates :P LOL)

It was sooo windy and rain a bit, freshened up, then we went dinner at Kubuku and have some drinks!! Happy bday to me!!! Sooo tired after dinner, went to BFC Wednesday nite.. till late then worked on Thursday morn, then straight to the airport. Sooo, went back to the hotel.. and sleep… before we sleep we talked and talked suddenly “ssssssttt” from our neighbor oeps we were too loud in 3am hahahha

15 Feb
Its my bday and no work… off course don’t wanna start my 30 with working hhahahahahha Sooo… Woke up pretty late but not too late for the breakfast, latest served at 11.30 :D :P
Freshen up after breakfast (no shower ye.. :P) hahahhaha looks bright outside no rain, swimming in the kuta beach will be great.. but nooppeee really windy sand blow everywhere to our face and body. So we just walked by the Kuta beach then had our lunch at the warung in Seminyak with Iin and Patrick and lil bit shopping :P

Back to our hotel, had a lil swim and have a rest then went to Musro, to see Iin in action, second time seeing the same show but still im amazed how flexible like plastic her body is uuuuhhh.
Sky Garden after, I love that place… We had to pay to enter the 4th floor?? Was not like that last time I was there in Nov 07. I notice the next day that the guy at the entrance will ask the local to pay to enter.
Anyway, I really love Sky Garden.

Tried diet program last week, but totally failed on 6th days on the family gathering, how can i refuse klapper tart, brenebon and ayam rica???? Leker leker semuanyah!!

Day 5, Friday, 2 Nov
Got morning call from Artha. First time and last time I met him was in 2001 after that went to Bali 2 times but always we didn’t find good time to meet, finally the 3rd time I came there we meet again!!…
He called and said he’ll pick us up and take us around woehooeee!!! Out of Kuta again!!! :) He took us to uluwatu the temple, the cliff, then to Padang padang beach and GWK, the park with the statue of Wisnu one of the gods.
He took us back to poppies then picked up us again to go to Hu’u in Seminyak, I found the toilet there really cool hahha dunno, maybe cuz its green!! Hahaha
Artha came with Arva to pick us up hahahha also haven’t met this guy for a long time like him. Had fun, some laugh and catching up at Hu’u!!! :) too bad Aline couldn’t join for she’s still have the bali belly…

Day 6, Saturday, 3 Nov
Another wake up late day… ALine started to surf already while I woke up lunch time then getting ready for Hash run? First time.. was fun.. drink beer run and drink another beer, and they made any silly reason to make people drink more!! Hahahha.. I didn’t run though 100% walking in the rain :)
After that wasting another time in Kubuku, before got back to room for shower and play chest with the neighbour, one game is enough for me hahahhaha
We went to hhmmm d couple for late dinner and some wine with Iin and Patrick then back to our room for the last nite.. :(

Day 7, Sunday, 4 Nov
Woke up almost lunch time, went to have lunch with ALine and Alex then went around Legian before meeting Fred at the Kuta beach to catch up and say bye in the afternoon, last day… :( Went back to Puri Agung met hhmmm forgot their names but I met this spain couple in jakarta before, they relaxing in Bali after Papua and Bromo before going to Flores…
Back to the room, finalizing packing :( then had last big bottle of binteng at Kubuku!!! hahhahaha before we finally went to airport to go back to boring Jakarta :(

Day 1, Monday, 29 Oct
Put our stuff in our room in Puri Agung then the beer is calling us hahahahaha waiting for Dwi and Ben then we had late dinner (midnite!) at the sport bars some beer and played pool ended up sleeping at 5am.

Day 2, Tuesday, 30 Oct
Woke up pretty early before rond 10 :P Spent the whole day in Kuta beach till sunset… Met Oki who has been working there for 2weeks!! Dwi and Ben joined again… Beer by the beach while watching sunset, no way u can do that in Jakarta!!! Hahahhahaha
Dinner with Dwi, her last nite, thanks for the jungle juice!! :) planned to Bounty but changed to Skygarden instead after some pineapple fizz in Kubuku :P Went back to Puri agung to sleep, skipped Mbargo, indonesian has to pay to get in!!!! Whats that??? :P

Day 3, Wednesday, 31 Oct
Morning at Kuta, then again lunch at Warung indo like the day before. Was planning to go to the dreamland beach after lunch BUT, only Tiara can drive a motorbike, me?? I can drive straight only, and aline can drive turning left or right only hahahha good combination to the way to dreamland hahahahaha Lucky us, Fred would drive one us with motorbike, his gf with her motorbike but otw his motorbike had a flat tire, damn I felt like overweight hahahaha
Stayed at the dreamland till sunset and then back to poppies
Halloween nite but didn’t feel like party, stayed at Kubuku with Tiara, Craig and Leo, ALine went to party to ‘My Room’ with Paula and others.
Went to My Room after kubuku to make sure if Aline knows the way back, she did so went back to sleep. This was the “hey lovely…..*****” nite… LOL

Day 4, Thursday, 1 Nov
This is the start of waking up late…. :P
Another day at Kuta beach but later in the afternoon walking around Legian, windowshopping :P found cool green top but in doubt to buy it or not, not too cheap, not expensive though hahahhah
We went to Musro to see the hhmmm cabaret show? Im not sure what its called, but our friend Iin is one of the dancer, she’s made from plastic hahhahah great show!!
Iin joined us to poppies after the show, then we went to Kubuku (again) its kinda our meeting point (start drinking point :P). And went to sky garden (again) and Mbargo after, thanks to Mr. Bintang we, the local guest enter for free hahahahha weird weird weird…
Another fun nite… then zzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Holidays Second destination Jogjakarta 28 - 29 Oct 2007

Soooo… finally arrived in Jogja after bus to solo then to jogja, 23.30 we arrived, our friend Agam picked us up and took us to Delta hotel click here to see the room and rate: http://www.yogyes.com/en/yogyakarta-hotel/budget/delta-homestay nice budget place with swimming pool though I didn’t have time to swim :( too lazy to wake up early on my holiday :P Agam said prawirotaman area where the hotel is like jaksa in Jakarta, but its much nicer and cheaper I would say.

Went to have kopi jos, typically jogja coffee, after late checked in at the hotel. Would have been much better coffee with less sugar!! It was too sweet, Javanese style… Have been having coffee with lil sugar even without sugar lately so when I had too much sugar in my coffee I could hardly taste the coffee… Catched up a bit with agam there then we went back to hotel and sleep.

The next day, woke up shower time then time to go to Borobudur, we got there at 11.00hr damn it was HOT!!!!!! Left Borobudur and go back to town for lunch… Gudeg jogja!!! Hhuuuhhhhh yummy, so different with gudeg I sometimes have in Jakarta.

After late lunch, we continued our trip to Tamansari, finally I’ve been there!!!:) Then the guide took us to hidden mosque? Around there…. Before Tamansari we stopped by the park behind the Keraton (kingdom palace) where there is 2 big Beringin tree in the middle and people said if you could walk through the middle of the tree with your eyes closed you will have your wish come true. Sounds easy to walk straight with your eyes closed???? Sounds easy for me but I couldn’t make when I tried 10 years ago. But I didn’t try again, only Aline did, in the middle of the rain with orange umbrella, she could have made it…. Almost!!!! Next time…

That’s all about Jogja guys!!!! We ended up our trip at Via-via café for some drinks in Prawirotaman street before we went to the airport for Bali!!!!!

Holidays First destination Karimun Jawa - 27-28 Oct 07

Before I slept all the way to Semarang by train Friday nite at 19.00hr, the last time I woke up was Thursday morning = been having my eyes open for almost 36hrs!!!!!
Had Hoka2 Bento for dinner in the train (thanks to thoughtful and sweet Ms. T) then ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz like a dead man till we arrive in Semarang train station, waken up by the guy who screaming that we arrive in Semarang and he took the blanket!!!

Anyways.. that was how I started my holidays…

Arrived at Semarang train station at 4am, stayed at the train station had pop mie for breakfast then went to the Tanjung Mas port to take Kartini fast boat to Karimun Jawa. We left to Karimun at 9am and arrive there at 12.30, lunch time, great food!!! We stayed at Wisma Apung. So far we've been through 4 kind of transportation, the train, the becak, the speed boat and the fishin boat... :P

After lunch and some coffee, we went to Menjangan Besar island. Nice island BUT could have been more beautiful without the trash!! And the water on the sunset side was awful, looked like polluted by the shampoo, washing water… I didn’t go to cemara island unfortunately…

Back to wisma apung after sunset shower time then dinner, hhmm nasi uduk and grilled fish with sambal!!! Yummy yummy yummy…. Couldn’t have holidays without beer!!! Hahahaha was having some beer under full moon across where we were the wisma apung’s terrace with sea as your garden :)

The next day, we went to Menjangan Kecil island after breakfast. Beautiful little resort island (10 rooms only, 5 bungalow). We have to pay Rp. 10.000 to get in the island. My camera battery was empty :( didn’t take some picture of the island. I’ll probably take some pics from Ms. T and Ms. A to add it here.

Back to for lunch and prepare to leave, the boat leave to Semarang Tanjung mas port at 14.00 and we arrived in Semarang at 18.00hr. Sooo we missed the joglosemar shuttle bus we booked at 18.00hr and the next bus at 19.00hr was full :( But luckily we met nice and helpful couple from Jogja who went to karimun to who informed us how to get to Jogja by the public bus and we arrived in Jogja at 23.30hr.. Thanks guys!!!

Finally!!!

Out of Jakarta for a weekend...
After more than half year being stuck in hot weather Jakarta (Dec 06 went to Bandung, cooler weather than Jakarta) when we got there (in Puncak) by midnite, damn its cold... And when we got to the room, one of us was looking for the air con and wanted to try to make the air con warmer hahahhahahha :P (NOT ME!!! :P)

My habit sneezing A LOT when I wake up in the morning in cold weather is still there!!!!

Was so relaxing to have breakfast in the upper terrace with cool weather and the sun, beautiful mountain view. Had some coffe, bread and some laugh and so happy to realize that we were not in Jakarta (only 2hrs from Jakarta btw :P)
It was great,thanks to Tiara who invited us. Unfortunately she had some work to do there so she didnt have time to join us enjoying the breakfast the view and being narcist with the camera :P
Slept out side of the room in the sun during the day after doing bit of work, just a bit work.

Though the way back to Jakarta was not so good but still we had a great time laughing at ourself being like a sardine in a can in the car on the way back. Sat on the back of the car without the seats. We sat, lie down, change position. Stuck in the car for 4hrs cuz of traffic in Puncak, usually only takes 2hr to go back to jakarta :S

Younger days: College Traveling 1996-1999

Went to Jogja with Tiara and Eka as well as her late bro, Erik.. miss ya..
I think it was first time out of west java trip with friends (not with school/study tour or parents :P)

Often visit Bandung that time since my bro went to study there, could go 4 times in a month... good old days.. Up to 5 times to bandung was still lying to parents moment...
